Back in Business

Hi folks,
We are just back from a busy four days at the 2nd National Conference of Exorcists at the headquarters of the Mexican Bishops. We discovered a lot of old friends there, and met some other folks who had been touched by our work here years and years ago, and are still plugging along, serving the Lord. The Cardinal was supposed to be there for the opening Mass, but didn't show up, so they improvised and Dick was one of two deacons and read the Gospel. Then he threw in a little inspired preaching for good measure. Folks were still talking about it 4 days later.

It is such a huge city that after we got a taxi from the bus station on the closest side of town, it took almost an hour's ride at wild lane changing speed to get where we were going. Dick in front and me in back squeezed between the two young priests who accompanied us. As we bounced back and forth I told them, "Just pretend I'm a seminarian." They're pretty serious types, but that made them laugh.'re glad to be back home. As usual, the bells have been ringing off & on ever since we arrived. Every Thursday ther's adoration of the Blessed Sacrament until midnight. Likewise bells. But we're glad to see the carnival out front is finally packing up to leave.

More soon, stay tuned.
