Daily Life

My little band of small black eyed girls grows daily. Jasmine,Azucena,Yadira,Liliana,
and more whose names I have trouble understanding over the contant ringing of the bells here. Saturday is Children's day; I've got to get some more candy to refill the "ladybug" candy holder they now look forward to. Tonight a small male cousin, Omar, was introduced. Along with the candy, they insist on a new English word, every time. They were concerned when they noticed Dick sitting with his arm in a sling (one of my rebozos,) due to a little fall while out walking. They scolded and prayed for his recovery, while shaking motherly little fingers under his nose warning him to be more careful. Who needs a wife to admonish you with all these little mothers around?
The strained wrist has made typing impossible for Dick for a few days, so he's been dictating his school essays to me, and I type, edit and proof read all in one swell foop.
Has someone out there been praying? The latest report is that the electric company may actually show up tomorrow. They claim to have already come by twice, but since there is ALWAYS someone here or in the church office next door, one wonders...
The young men responsible for the wireless antenna for the computer worked 3 or more hours on the roof and belfry, in near 90 degrees heat, trying to solve snafus and completely rewiring the whole affair. All with smiles and perfect courtesy. They even want to know when Dick is preaching!
Well, got to go get some sleep before the bells start in again, or someone decides to test volume control on their radio.
