Weather Report

OK Folks, in spite of the fact that "it's too early" the rainy season has in fact arrived. Many mornings, like today, dawn sunny, a soft breeze blowing, birds singing and palm fronds swaying gently as the street vendors crank up to volume and start their day.

But you need to hang out your wash early, because around 3:00 pm it starts to cloud up, a cooler breeze starts to blow, and eventually, between 5:00 and 9:00 pm, a torrential downpour will begin, and go on for hours. It goes on so long and is so heavy you begin to wonder if the house will float away on the rivers running through the steep up and down streets. You don't want to be out driving in this because you can't see the colossal potholes and other hazards.

This morning, as usual, bright, mild and sunny, as if the day is saying: "What? Stormy and rainy? MOI?"

I may do more weather reports since it changes every hour or so here.
