Arrived Safely
Hi Fri,
Sorry for the hiatus. We left Orizaba early Weds. morning, and after a happily uneventful 5 days, doing 400 to 500 miles a day, we arrived safely home. The first day on the road, a truck threw a pebble against our windshield, HARD. Yeah, cracked. But all the rest went smoothly.
As soon as we got out of the car and opened the door to the house, we began to re-create our home. Now, after many trips to Goodwill, and a few lucky finds at curbside, things are looking much better. My kitchen here is more Mexican than most that you'd find in Mexico and best of all: Tomorrow, I start my chaplain work back at the same hospital! Wheeee! Still just as an on-call chaplain, until a part-time position opens up, but that might happen by January.
We are pretty tired; it's a LOT of work re-establishing a home after you've given almost everything away but it feels wonderful to work on it. Another installment of my conversion story is in the works. TTYL
