Well, naked would be best, if it weren't for all the bugs. An alternative is shorts, halter top and flip flops. You want as much skin exposed as possible, and it doesn't matter if you're a great grandmother. I can't believe how the indigenous ladies still dress in their heavy full black skirts, sash, blouse and rebozo. Yikes!

If you mustdress up, omit all possible underwear and forget hose. It's even a good idea to have your hair as short as possible.

Given these precautions, you will still sweat like a horse.

On the other hand, if you're sensitive to things like bugs and snakes, I recommend completely covering everything, including your face, and wearing knee high boots. Since all this will cause you to suffocate, maybe you'd better plan your trip for cooler climes.
